The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to improve student achievement in Seminole County Public Schools by:

  • raising and distributing funds and in-kind donations;
  • fostering involvement in schools by business and the community;
  • providing recognition and rewards for outstanding contribution to, and performance within, the school district.

Since 1987, The Foundation has raised over $55 million to support this mission, with 90% of all funds raised going directly to programs. We’re proud of our Foundation programs such as Take Stock in Children, Tools 4 Seminole Schools, and Grants for Great Ideas that support our mission to further enhance the superior performance of students and teachers in SCPS. In addition to our programs, we fund more than 20 SCPS programs and initiatives that support our “A”-rated school district and have established the school district as a leader in Florida.

When  you partner with The Foundation, you are ensuring today’s students are tomorrow’s productive citizens.

The Foundation is a proud member of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. As a member, we are connected to statewide and national resources and part of a collegial community of local education foundations committed to building partnerships, innovating leading practices and impacting students coast to coast.

In 2022, The Foundation became a United Way Partner Agency.
